Bots

Bots are AI-controlled poker players you can add to tables to keep games active when real player counts are low. The bot system has four components: the Bot Pool (your inventory of bot accounts), Strategy Profiles (the behavioral rules bots follow), the Identity Pool (display names and avatars bots use), and the Bot Scheduler (automated placement rules).

These live under the Bots Management sidebar group: Bots, Strategy Profiles, Identity Pool, and Scheduler. The group is hidden when the bots feature toggle is off.

Overview Dashboard

The top of the Bot Management page shows four summary statistics:

StatDescription
Total BotsHow many bot accounts exist in your system
At TablesBots currently seated at a poker table
In PoolBots available to be deployed
Tables with BotsHow many tables have at least one bot

Below the stats, a Bots by Strategy breakdown shows how many bots currently use each behavioral profile. Further down, Bot Pool lists idle bots and Bots at Tables lists bots currently playing, with their strategy, enabled state, location, scheduler state, stack, and P&L.

Bot Pool

The bot pool is your inventory of bot accounts that are ready to be placed at tables. Bots in the pool are idle — they are not playing anywhere.

Creating a Bot

Click Create Bot to add a new bot to your pool.

Fields:

  • Name (optional) — A display name up to 50 characters. If left blank, the system auto-generates one.
  • Avatar — Upload a custom image, or leave it empty for a random default avatar.
  • Strategy Profile — The behavioral template the bot will follow (see Strategy Profiles below).
  • Default Buy-in — The chip amount this bot buys in with when assigned to a table. Defaults to 1000.
  • Min Delay (ms) — The minimum time in milliseconds the bot waits before acting. Range: 0–30,000 ms.
  • Max Delay (ms) — The maximum time in milliseconds the bot waits before acting. Range: 0–60,000 ms.

The action delay creates a realistic pause before each bot decision. For natural-looking play, a range of 1,000–5,000 ms is typical.

Editing a Bot

Click the pencil icon next to any bot to open the Edit Bot modal. You can update all fields, including uploading a custom avatar image (JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP, maximum 2 MB). The uploaded image is automatically resized and stripped of metadata.

Enabling and Disabling Bots

The toggle switch in the Enabled column activates or deactivates a bot. Disabled bots do not take actions at their table — they sit out silently. This is useful for temporarily pausing a bot without removing it.

Assigning a Bot to a Table

From the pool list, click the table icon on a bot to open the Assign to Table modal.

  • Select the target table from the dropdown (only tables with open seats are shown).
  • Optionally choose a specific seat number. Leave blank for auto-assignment.
  • Set the buy-in amount. The table’s minimum and maximum buy-in amounts are shown for reference.

Filling a Table with Bots

Click Fill Table to add multiple bots to empty seats at once.

  • Select a table.
  • Optionally choose a Strategy Profile, or keep Default strategy.
  • Enter how many bots to add (up to the number of empty seats).
  • Set a buy-in amount per bot.

The system assigns bots from your pool. If the pool has fewer bots than seats requested, only available bots are placed.

Removing a Bot from a Table

For bots currently at a table, click the logout icon to remove them. The bot’s chips are cashed out and the bot returns to the pool. You will be shown the cashout amount in the confirmation message.

Replenishing the Pool

Click Replenish Pool to automatically create new bot accounts up to the configured minimum pool size. This is useful if your pool has been depleted by table assignments and you want to restore your buffer quickly.

Deleting a Bot

Click the trash icon and confirm to permanently remove a bot. If the bot is currently at a table, it is removed from the table first and then deleted entirely.

Strategy Profiles

Navigate to Bots Management > Strategy Profiles.

Strategy profiles define how bots make decisions. Each profile is a set of numeric parameters (all on a 0.0 to 1.0 scale, except Bet Sizing Multiplier) that influence hand selection, aggression, bluffing, and bet sizing.

Built-in Profiles

Five profiles come pre-installed and cannot be renamed or deleted (though their parameters can be tuned):

ProfileSlugBehavior
Tight AggressivetagPlays few hands but bets and raises aggressively when it does
Tight PassivetpPlays few hands but prefers to call rather than raise
Loose AggressivelagPlays many hands and bets aggressively across all streets
Loose PassivelpPlays many hands but mostly calls, rarely raises
RandomrandomMakes decisions with significant randomness

Profile Parameters

ParameterRangeEffect
Tightness0.0–1.0Higher = plays fewer starting hands (tighter preflop range)
Aggression0.0–1.0Higher = more likely to bet and raise rather than check/call
Bet Sizing Multiplier0.1–3.0Multiplies the bot’s base bet size. 1.0 = standard sizing
Bluff Frequency0.0–1.0How often the bot bets without a strong hand
Position Awareness0.0–1.0Higher = bot adjusts play more based on table position
Preflop Range Width0.0–1.0Controls how wide (loose) the preflop starting hand selection is

Creating a Custom Profile

Click Create Profile and fill in a Display Name, an optional description, and slide each parameter to the desired value. Custom profiles can be assigned to any bot and can be deleted if no longer needed.

Editing a Profile

Click the pencil icon to open the edit modal. For built-in profiles, the Display Name is read-only but parameters can be changed.

Bot Identity Pool

Navigate to Bots Management > Identity Pool.

The identity pool is a library of display names (and optional avatar URLs) that the Bot Scheduler uses when it automatically deploys bots. Identities rotate between bot sessions, with a cooldown before reuse.

Identity Statuses

StatusMeaning
AvailableReady to be assigned to a bot session
In UseCurrently being used by an active bot session
On CooldownWas recently used and is resting before reuse

Adding a Single Identity

Fill in a Name (up to 50 characters) and an optional Avatar URL, then click Add.

Bulk Import

Paste a list of names — one per line — into the bulk import box and click Import. Duplicate names are automatically skipped, and one import accepts up to 500 names. Avatar URLs cannot be set in bulk (identities added this way have no avatar).

Example input:

PokerShark99
TableWatcher
BluffMaster77
RiverRat

Deleting an Identity

Click the trash icon next to an identity. Identities that are currently In Use cannot be deleted — wait until the bot session ends.

Bot Scheduler

Navigate to Bots Management > Scheduler.

The Bot Scheduler automates bot placement and removal based on real player activity. When running, it checks all eligible tables on a configurable interval and adds or removes bots to maintain target player counts.

Scheduler Status

A status indicator shows whether the scheduler is Running (green, pulsing) or Stopped (red). Below this, the active session count and last check time are displayed.

Use the Start / Stop buttons to control the scheduler manually. The global enable toggle (in Global Settings) controls whether the scheduler starts automatically on server restart.

Global Settings

SettingDescription
Scheduler EnabledWhen on, the scheduler starts automatically when the server boots
Auto-Fill EnabledWhen on, per-table auto-fill rules are active (see Auto-Fill Rules below)

Table Thresholds

These settings control when the scheduler intervenes based on how many real players are at a table:

SettingDescription
Auto-Join ThresholdAdd bots when real player count drops below this number
Auto-Depart ThresholdRemove bots when real player count reaches this number
Max Bots Per TableHard cap on how many bots can sit at a single table simultaneously

Example: With Auto-Join = 2 and Auto-Depart = 4, bots join when fewer than 2 humans are at the table, and leave when 4 humans arrive.

Check Interval and Cooldowns

SettingDescription
Check Interval (seconds)How often the scheduler evaluates all eligible tables. Minimum 10 seconds
Cooldown (minutes)How long a bot must wait before rejoining the same table it just left

Game Type Eligibility

Check the game types that bots are allowed to join. If a table’s game type is not checked, the scheduler ignores it, and when none are selected no tables are eligible. Use Select All or Clear All for quick selection.

You can also restrict which stake levels receive bots:

SettingDescription
Min Stakes (Big Blind)Ignore tables with a big blind lower than this value. Leave empty for no minimum
Max Stakes (Big Blind)Ignore tables with a big blind higher than this value. Leave empty for no maximum

Session Scheduling

SettingDescription
Active Hours StartHour of day (0–23) when bots start joining tables. Leave blank for always-on
Active Hours EndHour of day (0–23) when bots stop joining tables. Leave blank for always-on
Max Session (minutes)Maximum time a single bot session lasts before the bot is automatically removed. Minimum 5
Min Break (minutes)Minimum time a bot must rest between sessions

Active hours use 24-hour format, from 0 to 23.

Stop-Loss and Win-Limit

These settings automatically end a bot session based on chip performance:

SettingDescription
Stop-Loss AmountEnd the session if the bot loses more than this many chips. Leave empty for no limit
Win-Limit AmountEnd the session if the bot profits more than this many chips. Leave empty for no limit

Active Sessions

The Active Sessions panel shows all bot sessions currently in progress. It auto-refreshes every 30 seconds and can be manually refreshed. For each session:

  • Identity name and table name
  • Session start time
  • Time remaining (before session limit is hit)
  • Starting stack, current stack, and profit/loss

Session History

Select a bot from the dropdown to view its past sessions. Each historical entry shows:

  • Identity used
  • Table played at
  • Session duration
  • Starting and ending chip stacks
  • Profit/loss
  • Why the session ended (Expired, Stop Loss, Win Limit, Departed, or Manual)

Auto-Fill Rules

Auto-fill rules are per-table overrides. Instead of using the global Auto-Join Threshold, a table with an auto-fill rule always tries to maintain a specific target player count by filling empty seats with bots.

To add a rule:

  1. Click Add Auto-Fill Rule.
  2. Select the table from the dropdown (only tables without an existing rule appear).
  3. Set the Target Players count (cannot exceed the table’s maximum seats).
  4. Click Add Rule.

Each rule shows the table name, game type, target player count, current player count, and whether the rule is enabled. Use the toggle to pause a specific rule without deleting it.

After making any changes to Scheduler settings, click Save Changes to apply them.
