This page covers what you can do around the tables: watch games, check the rankings, use tournament tickets, look back at your hands, and chat. For joining tables and playing, see the Player Guide.
Table of Contents
Watching a Table
You can watch a table without taking a seat. While watching you can follow the action and chat, but you can’t play.
Ways to Start Watching
| Where | What to do |
|---|---|
| A table you haven’t joined | Open it from the lobby. Until you sit down, you’re watching |
| A full private table | Open the Private Games tab and click Watch on its row |
| After busting out | Click Stay & Watch to give up your seat and stay on the table |
| A direct link | Go to /tables/ followed by the table ID and /watch. You need to be logged in |
For a running tournament, the Watch button in the lobby opens the tournament’s details page. If you’re logged out, it reads Login to Watch.
What You Can See
- Face-up cards, such as the board and Stud up cards, along with stacks, bets and the pot
- Recent chat
- Other players’ hidden cards stay hidden. You only see hands that are shown at showdown
Limits on Watching
- Private tables: you must be a member of the table, unless it allows spectators. Otherwise you’ll see This private table does not allow spectators. Members only.
- Your own table: you can’t watch a table where you already have a seat.
To stop watching from the watch page, click Leave Table.
There’s no feature setting for watching in general. Private Games can be turned off by your operator, which removes that tab.
Leaderboard
Go to /leaderboard on your site to see how players rank. You don’t need to be logged in. The standard site’s menu has no link to it, so you may want to bookmark it.
Filters
| Filter | Options |
|---|---|
| Game Type | All Games, or a single game |
| Sort By | Total Winnings, Win Rate, Hands Played, Hands Won |
Columns
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Rank | Position in the current view |
| Player | Username |
| Winnings | Total winnings |
| Win Rate | Percentage of hands won |
| Hands | Hands played |
| VPIP | Percentage of hands where the player voluntarily put money in the pot pre-flop. Hidden on small screens |
| PFR | Percentage of hands where the player raised pre-flop. Hidden on small screens |
Getting Listed
You need at least 50 hands to appear. Rankings for a single game count only your hands in that game, so you can be listed under All Games and not yet under a particular variant. Each page shows 20 players.
Tournament Tickets
A ticket is a seat in a tournament that you won in a satellite. Your operator can turn off Tournaments as a feature.
Finding Your Tickets
Open your profile and choose Tickets. If you have active tickets, the tab shows a count, such as Tickets (2).
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Source Satellite | The satellite you won it in |
| Target Tournament | The tournament it gets you into |
| Seat Value | What the ticket is worth |
| Status | See below |
| Expiry Date | When it expires, which is the target tournament’s start time |
| Actions | Redeem, on active tickets only |
Using a Ticket
Click Redeem. If it works, you’ll see Ticket redeemed successfully! You are now registered for the target tournament.
The ticket pays for your entry, so nothing comes out of your balance. You can’t redeem a ticket for a tournament you’re already registered in.
Ticket Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
ACTIVE | Ready to use |
REDEEMED | Used to register for the target tournament |
REFUNDED | The target tournament was canceled, and the ticket’s value was credited to your balance |
EXPIRED | The target tournament finished before the ticket was used. It can no longer be used |
Hand History and Replay
The standard player site has no hand history or replay screen. Your hand records are kept and available through the account requests below, or through your operator’s own app if it offers them. To see your results on the site, use Cashier > History and the Statistics tab on your profile.
| What you get | Request |
|---|---|
| A list of your hands, with result and profit or loss | GET /api/v1/user/hands |
A list of your replays. Can be filtered by startDate, endDate, tableId and result (win, loss or all) | GET /api/v1/user/hands/replays |
| The details of one hand | GET /api/v1/user/hands/:gameId |
| A street-by-street replay of one hand | GET /api/v1/user/hands/:gameId/replay |
A replay includes the actions on each street, the board, the pot, side pots, the winners, and the high and low results in Hi-Lo games. In a CUSTOM_MIXED game, it also shows which game was being played.
What’s Private
- You can only open hands you played in
- You always see your own cards
- Opponents’ cards are only included if they were shown. Mucked and folded cards stay hidden
Table Chat
Type in the chat box at the table and press Send. Players and spectators can both chat, and you’ll see recent messages when you arrive at a table.
- Length: messages can be up to 200 characters
- Pace: you can send 3 messages every 6 seconds
- Filtering: HTML is removed, and a word filter runs on every message
Muting a Player
Players you’ve muted appear in the Muted: list above the messages, and you won’t see their messages. Click a name in that list to unmute them.
If Chat Is Off
Your operator can turn off chat, in which case the box may read Chat disabled, and any messages you try to send are rejected.
Please be respectful. See Chat in the Player Guide.
